Job Description

Prescient has an opening for a Resourcing & Operations Associate to be based in our London office. The successful candidate will join a growing Operations Department supporting Prescient’s project teams and senior management across our international offices.

The candidate will work with the Global Resourcing & Operations Consultant and team leaders to enter and update project schedules into the scheduling system, ensuring all milestones and deliverable dates are accounted for and reasonable; work with project managers to facilitate timeline revisions, maintaining and updating centralised schedules to ensure deadlines are met and global resources are optimally scheduled; and serve as an intermediary between Prescient’s off-site IT support team and employees in the London office.

The Candidate:

The candidate should have experience in resource and/or traffic management, demonstrating highly developed organisational skills. The candidate should be a motivated, detail-oriented individual with an analytical mind, love of process and excellent communication skills, be able to meet and adjust to rapidly changing timelines, be capable of and comfortable with managing multiple priorities simultaneously, be reliable and consistent, and ideally have experience interacting effectively with multi-lingual colleagues across international offices.

The position offers an opportunity to work alongside seasoned industry professionals within Prescient, supporting executives working with senior-level decision-makers within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

As a Resourcing & Operations Associate, the candidate’s focus will be on:

  1. Project Planning – Working with the Global Resourcing & Operations Consultant to aid Project Managers globally in implementing Prescient’s structured planning methodologies for client-commissioned projects in a timely fashion
  2. Project Administration – Recording project data in the company database systems and maintaining project- and company-related data records
  3. IT Asset Management – Working with Prescient’s IT Department to provide IT support and asset management for employees in the UK office
  4. Reporting – Assisting the Global Resourcing & Operations Consultant with the regular generation of reports for Senior Management
  5. Other Duties – Assisting within other areas of the Operations Department when there is not a requirement for the above duties

The candidate will report into the Global Resourcing & Operations Consultant, based in London.

Desired Skills and Experience:

A proven track record of relevant operations experience in an agency, consultancy or similar people-based environment with rapidly changing project needs is desired.

A suitable qualification in project planning methodologies, such as PRINCE2, and/or demonstrable experience in the same will be highly valued.

The candidate should possess a good level of IT and computer literacy, including knowledge of both hardware and software, which will be highly advantageous; proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel is a must, and experience with project management software will be looked upon favourably.
